Fieldwork · 2026
Marine biodiversity survey of Karimunjawa National Park, Central Java, Indonesia
We were invited to take part in a workshop that aimed at characterizing patterns of cryptobiome diversity on coral reefs of the National Park using Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structures and eDNA. This was also a great opportunity to discuss future collaborations for research in Indonesia and across the region.

Fieldwork · 2024
Feeding ecology of herbivorous fish - Moorea, French Polynesia
The lab took part in a field expedition to the island of Moorea to study how the rise of macroalgae changes the feeding behavior of surgeonfish and parrotfish. We conducted feeding observations, collected fish for molecular analyses of gut contents, and sampled macroalgae that these fish potentially eat to supplement reference DNA barcode databases.
